Selena Group – one of the leading producers and distributors of construction chemicals in the world – has acquired a 64% stake in Italian company Uniflex S.p.A. The acquisition will substantially increase Selena’s production capacity and will strengthen its foothold in Western Europe. The transaction, estimated at more than PLN 7 million, will position the company as a European market leader in the segment of acrylic products. The new production plant in Selena’s portfolio is a part of and consequence of its strategy, announced early this year, aimed at intensification of operations in Western markets.

Uniflex S.p.A. is an Italian company from the construction chemicals sector, established in 1996. Its production plant of 5000 m2 is located in Mezzocorona in the north of Italy. Uniflex S.p.A. specialises in the production and sales of acrylic sealants and distribution of silicones and other construction chemicals. The company’s products are predominantly distributed in Italy. Its exports are mainly focused on Western Europe, accounting for approx. 30% of the company’s sales.
